I had also been looking for that function.
In the new system of 'pane splitting', when I double-click on a variable in 'variable view' it takes me to that variable in the first pane of the data view screen. Is there a way to take me to the variable I want in the second pane? I only want my ID names in the first column, after which I have the split, so moving to another variable in that pane is of no use.
