This weblog is started because of our common interest in the statistical analysis software SPPS. The founders of this blog are Mark Julsing and Andris Versteeg. We both work at a market research company called HanzeConnect, based in Groningen, the Netherlands, Europe. In our work we use SPPS on a daily basis.
We have started SPSSlog.com because we felt that we could help a lot of people out with the knowledge we have on SPSS. We know that a lot of students have to use it and struggle with it. What we did not know at the time we started SPSSlog.com, is that there are also a lot of advanced users who have questions about the programme. Since the day we started this website we have learned a lot about SPSS as well!
About the ads on our website
Our goal is not to make a lot of money. If that was our goal, we should have made a website on a different subject (yes, they make millions on it..). We have decided to put ads on our website to pay for the costs we have. We have to pay the domain (which costs approximately 18 dollars each year) and the hosting (approximately 50 dollars per year). The income we got in the first year from the ads are not even enough to pay for this. We decided to use the Google Adsense programme. This programme is free to join for everyone, and it serves ads based on the content of every page. We hope the ads are relevant and usefull for you so we can help you in that way as well.
